Taking place on the last weekend of July, Qstock is the most significant music festival in its region, and one of the biggest public events in Finland. The festival has been sold out for the past eight event years, with 40,000 people attending over two days in 2019. With 6 stages and almost 60 acts, Qstock provides the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a large-scale festival and enjoy top-tier performers in the beautiful surroundings of Kuusisaari Island, which is easily accessible near Oulu city centre. When it comes to marketing partnership, Qstock offers versatile and effective means to reach a youthful target group. The festival has plenty of experience in carrying out successful campaigns with its partners.

The ‘Most sustainable European Capital of Culture’ project is promoting a low-carbon, sustainable economy through a new type of collaboration between events and innovative organisations. As a project partner, Qstock among other festivals is looking for solutions to environmental challenges by providing innovations with a test platform at the festival. Qstock has proposed three challenges which you can see here. The project has also created a guide to organising sustainable events (in Finnish) which is a big help also in Qstock arrangements. With the project, the carbon footprint of Qstock will be measured in summer 2021, after which its development will be monitored annually
