IRON MAIDEN VOCALIST BRUCE DICKINSON TO OULU
British metal group IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson will arrive in Oulu with his special one-man speaking show. Qstock and Live Nation are proud to present an What Does This Button Do? – An evening with Bruce Dickinson event at Madetoja Hall on Wednesday, 13 November.
Aside from decades spent delivering high-octane performances with his larger–than-life persona in IRON MAIDEN, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence, too. A true polymath, Bruce is, or has been, an airline pilot and captain, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist and best-selling author, radio presenter, TV actor and international fencer. What is more, the University of Helsinki awarded him with an honorary doctorate in the beginning of May this year.
A couple of years ago, Bruce toured the UK promoting his New York Times & UK Times Best-Seller autobiography What Does This Button Do? Since then, An Evening With Bruce Dickinson has evolved into a full-blown one-man show, more akin to a stand-up comedian’s routine, lasting well over two hours and touring the globe to critical acclaim.
Split into two parts, the first half of the show sees Bruce taking a humorous, often satirical look back at his colourful, roller-coaster life. The second half of the evening is devoted entirely to a Q&A session, where fans’ quirky, frank and often completely leftfield questions are tackled.
“Bruce Dickinson will bring a special boost of energy to November in northern Finland. Usually shows like this are more common in the southern part of our country. It is an honour that we are able to bring a show by such a legendary performer to our home city of Oulu. Now all the fans in the region will have the opportunity to ask Bruce what they have always wanted to know,” says Qstock Programme Coordinator Sandy Kantola.
Tickets go on sale from June 3rd at 9 AM via Ticketmaster.
